Montblanc will roll out its first android wear smartwatch in association with Tag Heuer, will be priced from $890
In a world of fast changing technologies, tech firms are working on new gadgets to offer the customers latest trendy techs in unique packaging. At the same time, some famous brands are working to blend the technology with premium luxury. One such brand is the Montblanc, a german luxury writing instrument manufacturer. The company is gearing up to introduce its first Android wear powered smartwatch.
Montblanc certainly has an ambition to blend the supreme luxury with latest tech and to make it work, the company has joined hands with luxury watch maker tag Heuer. Together the companies have made the Android Wear smartwatch, which will be the German brand’s first venture into the digital timekeeping world.
Currently at the development stage, the smartwatch is expected to come to market soon. It will be priced from $890, with the buyers can opt for more premium model equipped with sfumato brown leather strap, priced at $930. The smartwatch appears quite large in size and looks classy indeed. It gets an all-black stainless steel case and comes with a diameter of 46 mm and height of 12.5 mm. So far, the watch gets a touch of old-school charm too.
While there is a black casing, a natural coloured stainless steel case is also available along with a dual-tone coloured model. Montblanc will also offer a titanium casing, whoich certainly enhance the appeal further, and it will be priced at $980 with a basic strap and $1,020 with an upgraded one.
The watch runs on standard Android Wear 2.0 and sports a 1.39-inch AMOLED display with 400 x 400 resolution. There is a crown like button at the side, which can be a scrolled to operate the screen. The watch gets energy from a 300 mAh battery, while it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor with 512MB of RAM. Also it comes with 4GB of storage capacity, micro USB connectivity.
