Moto G5 Plus is the first smartphone of G series with metal body; available in two different RAM variants
Motorola has launched the latest model of its very popular Moto G series, which is the fifth generation Moto G5 Plus. The phone is priced from Rs. 14,999. Available in two different variants depending on RAM, the higher variant is available at Rs. 16,999. The smartphone comes as the first model to feature a full metal body in the bestselling smartphone series.
The Moto G5 Plus is available with a 3GB RAM and 16GB memory version, while the higher version gets 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage capacity. Both these phones are available on e-commerce website Flipkart. The phone made its global debut at the 2017 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain and India is one of the first global markets from the device.
To promote the phone, Flipkart has already announced a free buyback offer. Under this offer, customers can upgrade to the all-new Moto G5 Plus by selling the old Motorola model and they will get a discount of Rs. 7,000. Also, the tech brand has announced an extra discount of Rs. 1,500 on exchange and additional 10% discount on SBI cards. Along with the phone the Moto Pulse 2 headset is offered at a discounted price of Rs. 599. But, these offeres are available only on 16th March.
Speaking about the design, the phone has finally ditched plastic body and employs the diamond-cut high-quality aluminium 6000 metal body. This makes it very stylish and edgy compared to its predecessors. Apart from that, the device also comes splash and dust proof like its predecessors. The home button works as a fingerprint sensor as well.
Specification wise, the smartphone gets 5.2-inch full HD display powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor. The all-new Moto G5 Plus comes equipped with a dual SIM setup and it run on Android Nougat 7.0 out of the box. For photography, it gets a 12-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash, while the front shooter is a 5-megapixel unit.
