Nokia unveiled the 3 and 5 Android smartphones at 2017 MWC; expected to go on sale from Q2 this year
Nokia has made a great comeback with its latest Android smartphones. The company unveiled the all new Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 at the 2017 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona few days back. At the prestigious event, the Finland-based tech firm promised about providing regular updates. Now, the Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 smartphones will be offered security updates every month.
The Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 will go on sale from second quarter this year and the company is expecting impressive sales result from the customers following the worldwide positive response. Apart from Nokia, the HMD Global, which has been assigned to manufacture the devices has also affirmed that the mobile phones will be receiving regular updates.
This has been the famous tech brand’s great comeback after its sales slumped few years back. While the world of smartphones was relying on Android OS, the company was sticking to its old technology. Lately, it joined hand with Microsoft and rolled out Windows powered smartphones. But those devices failed to impress the buyers against Android devices.
Finally, Nokia has realized its mistake accepted to use the Android platform for its smartphones. Also, it decided not to manufacture the phones itself. Instead Nokia made deal with HMD Global for the hardware manufacturing. Now, with Samsung facing trouble in the market, Nokia is expecting speedy growth, despite tough competition out there.
In recent past, Nokia has made headlines frequently with its devices. Apart from the smartphones, the iconic 3310 has been another item, which created buzz. The company re-launched the 3310 with a new face and couple of new features. So far, the Finnish brand is leaving no stones unturned to grab its lost market.
