Pokemon Go is finally available for free download from both Apple App Store and Google Play in India

Pokemon Go is finally available in India on both Apple App Store and Google Play. The Indian enthusiasts have been waiting for this game to be available here for quite long and the wait is over now. The augmented reality game can be downloaded free on both the iPhones and Android smartphones in the country.

To bring the famous game in the country reliance Jio has partnered with Niantic and with this partnership between them, reliance Digital Stores and some select partner stores across India have became PokeStops or Gyms in the game. The game has been available for the Indian people from 14th December.

Both the companies believe this partnership will help each other to reach a larger number of people by providing a richer mobile entertainment experience through Pokemon Go. The Jio retail locations and charging stations will act as PokeStops and Gyms in the game. In these places across the country, gamers can catch, train and battle.


Pokemon players will have access to an exclusive Pokemon Go channel on the Jio’s social messaging app JioChat. This channel will allow PokemonGo players to collaborate and be a part of the community of players. It will provide them daily tips, clues, chance to take part in contests and special events. Also this channel will help the players to socialize with other players and level up faster.

The Pokemon Go is a free to play, location based augmented reality game developed by Niantic. This game can be played on iPhones, Android smartphones and Android Watch devises as well. The game was initially released in selected countries in July this year and shot up to popularity in short span. The players use a mobile device with GPS capability to locate, capture, battle and train virtual creatures called Pokemon.
