Samsung has teased a mystery device ahead of MWC 2017 scheduled later this month; could be the Galaxy S3 tab
South Korean tech major Samsung has teased a mystery device on its website ahead of the MWC 2017. The teaser image shows the outline of a device, which seems to be the next S3 tab from the company. The device is slated to be unveiled at the Barcelona event on 26th February, 2017.
The tech brand was expected to unveil its next S line flagship S8 at the Mobile World Congress this year. But, due to the trouble it faced with the Galaxy Note 7, launch of the upcoming flagship smartphone was delayed. Later the company confirmed that it won’t be unveiling the S8 at the tech event. The MWC has been the platform, where Samsung usually launches its flagship models every year, but this time it will be different.
Interestingly, the teaser image doesn’t come with the usual word ‘Unpacked’, which Samsung generally use for unveiling events. Therefore the press event could take place to disclose the details about the upcoming product. The large display shows a home button, giving us a hint of a tablet. Rumors about the Samsung Galaxy S3 tab has been doing rounds for last couple of days, and the mystery device in the teaser image could just be that.
The Samsung Galaxy S3 tab is expected to come with a 9.7-inch QHD Super AMOLED screen with 2048 x 1536 pixel display, which will deliver a superb quality viewing experience to the user. Like the Apple iPads, the Samsung Galaxy S3 tab will come sporting a 4:3 aspect ratio.
The tab will come powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and 4GB of RAM. It is expected to come with 32GB of internal memory, which can be expanded thanks to a dedicated microSD card slot. For photography, the device will get a 12 megapixel primary camera and a 5 megapixel front shooter.
