Samsung has already confirmed about skipping the tech event; Chinese mobile maker Xiaomi also to give it a miss
While the world is eagerly waiting for the biggest mobile industry event Mobile World Congress to be held at Barcelona next month, the tech giant Samsung and popular Chinese brand Xiaomi will skip the event completely. Samsung has already confirmed about its absence in the event earlier. Now the Chinese mobile manufacturer Xiaomi also confirmed that they will skip the event.
South Korean tech major Samsung is known for showcasing their flagship mobile phone at the MWC, like they did at last year’s event by launching the Galaxy S7 Edge. This time also, mobile enthusiasts around the world have been hoping for the company to unveil the upcoming flagship model S8. But with the company not participating at the event the launch of the much awaited Samsung S8 is farfetched.
Last a year at the Barcelona show, Xiaomi displayed the Mi 5 smartphone. This time, the popular Chinese brand was likely to showcase the Mi 6, the successor of the Mi 5 at the MWC 2017. The Mi 6 is going to be the flagship model from the company.
Meanwhile, as the Samsung and Xiaomi will skip the event, the other brands like Sony will reveal five Xperia smartphones at the upcoming MWC 2017 including its flagship model also. Also, the Finland-based mobile phone manufacturer Nokia is ready to make a comeback at Barcelona with its range of attractive and much anticipated Android smartphones.
Nokia is certainly drawing attention towards it as the Finnish tech firm will launch its first Android based smartphones. The company could introduce the P1 smartphone with a Snapdragon 835 and tablet. Interestingly, the company unveiled its new smartphone Nokia 6 last month that has already earned attention from mobile enthusiasts around the globe.
